God through
the lens
Saturday
31 March
2012
Chance
favours the
prepared
mind
Ansell
Adams
This
workshop
offers a
further
opportunity
to see God
through the
photographic
lens as we
prepare our
minds,
hearts and
eyes
together.
It
follows a
first
successful
workshop
last year
looking at
God at Eye Level and the work of Thomas Merton and Jan Phillips.
There is no
requirement
to have been
to the first
workshop
although we
would be
delighted to
meet all
from that
group again
and continue
our
conversations.
On this
occasion we
will meet
together for
a time of
reflection
in the
Chapter
House Crypt
of St Albans
Abbey to
prepare our
minds before
using the
freedom of
the Abbey
and the
surrounding
Verulamium
Park to
wander,
stop, look
and reflect
with the aid
of a camera.
We
will then
come back
together to
share any
photos and
insights
that we
have.
Please bring
a packed
lunch so we
can continue
our informal
conversations
over lunch.
No
photographic
expertise is
necessary
but just a
curiosity
and interest
in the
subject.
Do
bring a
camera along
(of any
type) so you
can take
photos and
share them
though the
digital
projector
that we will
provide.
Last
time we had
some really
interesting
work
produced
just from a
mobile
phone!
