The
Cathedral
and Abbey
Church of
Saint Alban
●
We are based
at the
historic
cathedral
church in St
Albans,
probably the
most ancient
site of
Christian
worship
still in use
in Britain.
There has
been a
continued
Christian
presence on
the site of
the present
church for
over 1700
years.
Although an
Anglican
church, the
Abbey is
very much an
ecumenical
community
and StACCS
has been
given a home
here since
our
foundation
in 1974.

The Abbey
is also home
to the
Hudson

a modern
theological
lending
library with
resources to
support our
students and
the general
reader.

University
of
Hertfordshire
● We
have a good
and
developing
relationship
with our
local
university
which also
organises a
number of
events which
are open to
the general
public and
which may
well be of
interest to
our
students. In
particular
there are
regular
philosophy
seminars.
The Newman
Association
●
The Newman
Association
is a
national
organisation
whose
members meet
in local
'circles' to
discuss and
develop
their
understanding
of the
Christian
faith. Most
members are
Catholic,
but
Christians
from all
traditions
are warmly
welcomed.
The
Hertfordshire
Circle is
among the
largest and
most active
in the
country and
StACCS has
organised a
number of
joint events
with the
Newman
Association
over the
years.

helpful.
The Methodist

Our

we work
closely with
the
