Roy Gregory is a part-time pastor of
Ashley
Church in St Albans and an Open University Tutor in the Technology
Faculty.
He works
as a spiritual
director locally
and as part of a
team of
spiritual
directors
working at the Greenbelt festival.
He is also a
Chartered Engineer
and lectured for
many years at
the
University
of
Hertfordshire
specialising in
thermodynamics,
educational
research and
staff training.
He has a special
interest in
psychology and a
few years ago
took an MA in
Psychology of
Religion at Heythrop College,
London.
His
dissertation was
an
interview-based
study on
serenity and to
what extent it
can be taught.
Having an
interest in how
faith works out
in everyday
life,
particularly for
those outside of
the church, he
runs workshops
in the fields of
education,
spirituality and
personal
development.
This also
has led him to
develop a number
of websites,
which aim to
increase
accessibility of
spirituality
resources and is
currently
co-editing a book
in that area.
